Why Green Tea?

Matcha can be consumed as a beverage either hot or iced. But aside from drinking, it can also be a great additive for baking. Baking with matcha combines all the wonderful natural flavors with the sweetness of whatever dessert you choose.

Origins

Matcha originated in Japan close to a thousand years ago. It still continues to be a prized possession for traditional Japanese tea ceremony, or chado (way of tea). Now, matcha is consumed all over the world.

    Instructions

    1. Measure - add 1/2 teaspoon matcha into bowl
    2. Pour - add 8-10 oz. of water (just under boiling)*
    3. Whisk - Until frothy... Pour into cup and enjoy!

*tip: never use boiling water, instead boil water and let sit 13 min before pouring into bowl to avoid bitterness
