Aside from the entire tradition of tea and its discovery we owe yet another thank you to the Chinese for the creation of Lapsang Souchong black tea. This tea undergoes a special drying process. It is smoked-dried over pinewood fires so it is sometimes known as smoked tea. The smokiness of this Chinese tea is reminiscent of campfires. The original Earl Grey blend was believed to have contained a small measure of Lapsang for a slight smokiness. | This tea has been smoked in accordance with ancient Chinese tradition. Slightly salty and smokey.
